1. In as much detail as possible record the steps it took to create this project in Photoshop. Use complete sentences. I first typed my name in a big font and then I started to add my 15 photos. After, I started creating a clipping mask for each one and I duplicated the layer and photos to create a pop-out. Last, made them pop out and put a drop shadow on them so they look 3D.
2. What are clipping masks? How do they differ from just using the eraser tool in Photoshop? How might you use them in the future to create more projects in Photoshop?
A clipping mask is an image that goes under an image. It differs because one takes out things and the other puts them under. I would use them to make my pictures look better. Also, make my project more cleaner and presentable.
3. What was successful in your project? What was unsuccessful and what would you do differently next time to solve this problem? Something that was successful was making my images pop out. I think next time I should choose a different word font.
4. Based on the learning target, "Create a multimedia collage of personal interests, identity, and culture in Photoshop that demonstrates knowledge of media and technology skills by utilizing clipping masks and layer masks. " what level of mastery does your project demonstrate (Exceeds, Meets, Needs Work, minimal understanding). Why do you think this? Make sure to provide specific evidence. I think the level of mastery my project demonstrates is a 4 because I put more than one pop, pictures of myself, and of what I'm interested in.
